This beautiful statement piece was originally a shipping crate used to send a Lyon & Healy Harp safely to it's destination. This well-made and substantial wooden shipping case has metal banded corners and it's original clasps and closures. It has been carefully and thoughtfully converted into a functional piece of furniture, probably intended as a vanity or desk. It would also make a unique retail display piece or bar. The inside has been upholstered and padded with a hunter green and dark red striped fabric and finished with gold braiding. There is a desk/vanity height shelf fitted perfectly to the crate. There is also a skirted stool upholstered to match the crate fabric. The stool can be stored neatly under the shelf and the crate can be close completely and latched. The crate is in very good overall condition with light wear typical of it's age and usage. This item can be seen at our retail location in Cleveland, OH. See profile for address.
